                                                                                                       AND
                                                                                    MEMORIALS OF SALVATION

“…this do in remembrance of me.”

ALL THE FEASTS OF THE LORD ARE MEMORIALS, THUS SAITH THE LORD

Num 10:10 Also in the day of your gladness (H8057= religious/festival), and in your solemn days (H4150 Hebrew MO’ED ~Feasts), and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God.

SPECIFICALLY, THE SEVENTH DAY SABBATH Is a Memorial

Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

SPECIFICALLY, PASSOVER/PESACH Is a Memorial

Exo 12:14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

Jud 1:5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

Exo 3:12 And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token (H226=OTH, signs, see Gen 1:14) unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.

SPECIFICALLY, THE FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD is a Memorial

Exo 13:3 And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.

Exo 13:9-10 And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the LORD'S law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of Egypt. Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.

Deu 16:3 Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that thou mayest remember (H2142~remembrance) the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life.

SPECIFICALLY, THE FEAST OF BLOWING/TRUMPETS is a Memorial

Lev 23:24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

SPECIFICALLY, THE FEAST OF ATONEMENT is a Memorial

Exo 30:16 And thou shalt take the atonement money of the children of Israel, and shalt appoint it for the service of the tabernacle of the congregation (H4150 MO’ED ~Feasts), that it may be a memorialH2146 unto the children of Israel before the LORD, to make an atonement for your souls.

(Further study would probably reveal more Feasts that are specifically memorials… but Numbers 10:10 covers them all.)

AND JESUS TAUGHT US HIS PERFECTED ONCE-AND-FOR-ALL SACRIFICE as a Memorial

Luk 22:15-20 And He said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. And He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. And He took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. this do in remembrance of me.

Rev 13:8 … the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world

IS THERE NEW LIGHT OR HAVE WE FORGOTTEN?

Ecc 1:9-11 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us. There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.

“BEWARE” OF FORGETFULNESS

Deu 6:12 Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

Deu 8:11 Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:

     Deu 8:14 Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;

BEWARE OF COUNTERFEITS, A PLEA TO THE BRETHREN

Let us not be as Isaiah 65:11-12 states: But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain(H2022/42=mount), that prepare a table (H7979=by implication: a meal) for that troop (H1408=’fortune’, a Babylonian deity) and that furnish the drink offering(H4469=wine mixture) unto that number (4507=the idol ‘fate’). Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.

RATHER, LET US, IN ONE ACCORD, PROCLAIM:

Psa 119:16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget Thy word.
Isa 26:8 Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.
1Ti 4:6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

Praise God. No "vanishing point", no arguments about shadows or the future or fulfilled or not..

It is inescapable for the honest heart.. A Memorial is not fulfilled (as in 'ended'). Memorials are to be remembered, of course. God is calling us TO REMEMBER by observing His Feasts in order to build our faith in Him for the future!
